Ambient Dust Fallout Monitoring

Ambient Dust Fallout Monitoring covers the procedure for collecting and analyzing the contents of monthly dustfall containers for total and ignited water-soluble and/or insoluble settleable particles.

Dust fallout containers of a standardized size and shape are positioned at various sites where they are exposed to the atmosphere for a specified period. At the end of a 30-day sampling period, the containers are sealed and returned to the laboratory for gravimetric analysis for total and ignited soluble and/or insoluble settleable particles in water.
