The purpose of this evaluation is to examine the storage facilities and methods of Hazardous Chemical Substances (including Flammable Liquids) storage existing within the company. In order to enable risk categorization to occur, the type of materials and their inherent hazards, the type and volumes of the packaging and the type of storage facilities present are assessed. Further to identify potential health hazards in respect of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993), as read with the Flammable Liquid Regulations (Regulation 4 of the GSR), the Environmental Regulations for Workplaces Regulation 5, (Ventilation) and Hazardous Chemical Substances Regulations (R 1179 of 1995).
